Forget Boston and Berlin, and think Beijing: with China showing interest in investing in Europe, Ireland is in a great position to benefit
Last month, Dublin’s Lord Mayor, Gerry Breen, signed a twinning agreement covering cooperation in business, education and tourism between Dublin and Beijing.
This could help us out of our current economic troubles. It also offers us an opportunity to help improve communication between Europe and China.
A week ago, Chinese premier Wen Jiabao was in Europe building relationships with Hungary, Britain and Germany.
