Finance Life and Hibernian Life & Pensions have launched a pension-backed property scheme in the United States for Irish investors.

The $63 million condominium scheme in the Fitzpatrick Hotel in Chicago is aimed at investors interested in an alternative to traditional managed fund type pensions.

“The majority of Irish people are in rather anonymous, managed-type pension funds because that is the main product that insurance companies sell,” said Eamonn McGrath, managing director of Finance Life....
