Chevron chief earned €23.6m last year
David O’Reilly, the Dublin-born chief executive of petrol giant Chevron Corporation, earned a total of $31.6 million (€23.6 million) last year in salary, share options and stock awards.
O’Reilly has been chairman and chief executive of the group since the late 1990s and earned the bulk of the remuneration package through the award of shares as part of an incentive scheme.
He earned $1.6 million in salary, $13 million in stock awards, $6.9 million in share options, $3.5 million in non-equity incentives plus other benefits.
According to an SEC filing, he owns 1.6 million shares in the company, valued at $118 million.
