Chevrolet sales rise following GM takeover

Since General Motors took control of Daewoo and assigned the Chevrolet brand name to it, sales have improved strongly.

Across Europe, over the first six months, 217,679 units were sold, an increase of 30 per cent over first quarter sales in 2006.

The biggest gains have come from central and eastern Europe, where 128,637 vehicles were sold, an increase of 61 per cent compared to last year’s figures. Of these, 84,467 were sold in Russia, the company’s largest...
