Changes due for 10 per cent of Dublin Bus fleet

More than 10 per cent of Dublin Bus routes are to be axed or amalgamated, resulting in changes to services to routes serving Heuston Station and several suburban areas.

The bus firm is attempting to cut costs amid a fall-off in passenger figures of up to 15 per cent on some of its 220 routes. It plans to cut or alter 20 routes, including those to and from Heuston, Ballyfermot, Clarehall and the new suburb of Adamstown.
