Centrica said to have bid for Bord Gais energy unit

Centrica and Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia’s biggest energy group, are said to have filed bids for the retail and power generation unit of state-owned gas company Bord Gais Eireann.

The Bord Gais Energy division is being sold as part of the bailout accord with the troika in 2010.

Centrica, Britain’s largest home power company, and Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia’s biggest energy group, filed bids for the retail and power generation unit of state-owned gas company Bord Gais Eireann, people with knowledge of the matter said.
