Celtic Media Group, the owner of five regional newspapers, is to cut staff by 10 per cent as it battles a steep drop in advertising revenue.

Staff at the Meath Chronicle, the Anglo Celt, Westmeath Independent, Westmeath Examiner and Offaly Independent were informed at a series of meetings last week that their pay was to be cut by between 5 and 10 per cent.
