C&C sells spirits business for €300m

Drinks group C&C has completed a €300 million deal to sell its spirits and liquors business to Scottish family distillers William Grant & Sons.

Drinks group C&C has completed a €300 million deal to sell its spirits and liquors business to Scottish family distillers William Grant & Sons.

The newly acquired business will operate as William Grant & Sons Irish Brands with immediate effect. Sixty-three employees from C&C operations in Dublin, Clonmel and overseas, will transfer to William Grant.
