Business owners hope that the government's Action Plan for Jobs, launched last Friday, will assist them in creating employment and accessing funding.

The plan allows for a simpler way of recruiting people on the live register, one of seven key reforms identified by government.

The new JobsPlus scheme aims to promote the recruitment of the long-term unemployed by offering employers subsidies for recruitment from the live register, as part of a two-tier incentive system.
