Unsecured creditors of Castlelands Construction, once one of the biggest building firms in Munster, are expected to lose millions of euro after a liquidator was appointed to the firm.

Castlelands, which was founded in 1988 by John Barry, is being wound up after a creditors’ meeting heard that it was insolvent.

At its peak, the company had around 500 staff working on projects in Ireland and Britain. The Revenue moved to wind up the firm...
