Castle Leslie in Co Monaghan is investing €10 million in a new equestrian centre, creating 60 jobs.

When it opens in spring 2007, the new facility will have 60 stables, a 50m x 30m indoor arena, with tiered seating for 200 spectators, and a 20mx40m outdoor arena. It will create 38 full-time and 22 part-time jobs.

The project includes the restoration of the castle’s Victorian Hunting Lodge to include additional accommodation.
