Cassidy’s pub sold

Cassidy’s pub on Camden Street in Dublin 8 has been sold in an off-market deal. Publican Fran Ryder is understood to have agreed to pay €4.35 million.

17th June, 2006

Ryder is a previous owner of the pub. He now owns The Red Windmill in Phibsboro, Dublin 7 which is let-out.

Meanwhile, Frank Gleeson who owns the nearby venues, Whelans and The Village, is the latest publican to look to cash-in on the alternative use value of his property.

Gleeson has applied to demolish the existing two-storey bar and restaurant building he owns on Main Street in Finglas in Dublin 11.
