Ivan Tucker took over Douglas Jewellers from his father Ken in 1990, having trained and worked away from the business, with Fields Jewellers on Grafton Street, Dublin.

Ken Tucker had taken over the store in 1951 from his former boss, George Douglas. While the world has become a far different place in the intervening years, one thing hasn't changed - the customer remains king and the shop's survival depends on the service it provides to its customers.
