Carlisle Pier withdrawal caused by economic jitters

Deteriorating economic conditions combined with uncertainty surrounding the planning process prompted the decision by the developers of the Carlisle Pier site in Dun Laoghaire to withdraw from the project.

Deteriorating economic conditions combined with uncertainty surrounding the planning process prompted the decision by the developers of the Carlisle Pier site in Dun Laoghaire to withdraw from the project.

Colm Whooley, finance director at Sisk, said the projected financial return from the scheme was also a factor.
