Carat predicts 2008 ad spend of 7.1 per cent

Carat Ireland, the largest media buyer in the country, has forecast that advertising spend will rise by 7.1 per cent this year, a drop from 11.4 per cent growth in 2007.

Carat Ireland, the largest media buyer in the country, has forecast that advertising spend will rise by 7.1 per cent this year, a drop from 11.4 per cent growth in 2007.

In a research paper to be released this week to clients, chief executive Ciaran Cunningham said this year was a difficult one to call, because of rising inflation and a noticeable fall in construction and manufacturing jobs.
