Car sales fall by a third in November latest data shows

Just 1,398 new private cars were licensed in November 2011, compared with 2,146 in November 2010, a decrease of 34.9 per cent, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

Just 1,398 new private cars were licensed in November 2011, compared with 2,146 in November 2010, a decrease of 34.9 per cent, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

But the number of new goods vehicles licensed in November 2011 rose 45.8 per cent to 624 compared with 428 in the corresponding month last year.
