Candle firm shines after €1m turnover

Irish candle company Oberg has broken the €1 million sales barrier after winning a number of overseas deals for its Max Benjamin range of candles.

Irish candle company Oberg has broken the €1 million sales barrier after winning a number of overseas deals for its Max Benjamin range of candles.

The Wicklow firm’s products have been picked up by several international department stores, including Mitsukoshi and Takashimaya in Japan, the Manor department store in Switzerland and, most lately, by John Lewis department stores in London.

The John Lewis deal is worth an initial £40,000 (€46,000) to the business....
