The Canadian delegation, which came to Ireland last week to lure workers to its shores, has promised 300,000 jobs in western Canada in the next two years.

The Canadian delegation, which came to Ireland last week to lure workers to its shores, has promised 300,000 jobs in western Canada in the next two years and 80,000 of these in construction alone.

A 12-strong group led the British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) has spent almost a full week gathering information from agencies such as Fás and had meetings with unions to assess the available talent pool in Ireland.
