Generic medicines maker Teva Pharmaceuticals is using broadcaster Gay Byrne to front a new campaign to broaden awareness of generic medicines.

400 pharmacies nationwide are participating in the Understandgenerics.ie campaign, which coincides with new legislation to be passed later this month to increase the use of generic medicines.
