Political Reporter Ireland is preparing to launch a diplomatic campaign across the European Union to halt European Commission proposals for a common corporate tax base.

Fianna Fail MEP Eoin Ryan has written to the secretary general at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Dermot Gallagher, outlining his proposals for ‘‘a clever and determined effort to stop a system of common corporate taxes being introduced within the European Union’’.
