Independent News & Media (INM) faces a high-profile employment case this week when former features writer Gemma O'Doherty's case for unfair dismissal will be heard by the Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT).

Former Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan has been summoned to give evidence at next week's hearing. A source familiar with the Workplace Relations Commission procedures confirmed that an official summons was issued during the week.
