Portugal and Ireland should cooperate on providing ''a new Atlantic leadership, as both countries aim to boost the economic impact from their huge territorial waters, according to a Portuguese marine expert.
The two countries have opportunities to deliver jobs in tourism, seafood, energy, shipping and ports, and both could benefit from cooperation, according to PwC Portugal's Miguel Margues. Portugal controls the largest sea bed area in Europe, followed by Norway and then Ireland.
