Cabinet facing crunch decision on water body
The setting up of a new national water company seems set to be accompanied by a rise in water bills, writes John Burke.
The government has a big decision to make in the coming weeks which will determine the speed and efficiency of its proposed reform of Irish water services. It may choose to set up a new national water company which would be entirely self-contained. Or it may decide to 'embed' Irish Water into an existing semi-state company.
