Byrne nets e2.9m on Trintech

The Irish president of tech firm Trintech will join the ranks of the country’s millionaires with the $129.4 million (€92.7 million) takeover of the company by private equity buyers.

The Irish president of tech firm Trintech will join the ranks of the country’s millionaires with the $129.4 million (€92.7 million) takeover of the company by private equity buyers.

Dubliner Paul Byrne will net more than $4.1 million (€2.9 million) for his shares in the firm, making him the biggest individual beneficiary after Cyril McGuire, Trintech’s founder.
