The busiest week of the season to date kicks off at 11am, September 25 at Sheppards in Durrow, Co Laois where almost a thousand lots of fine art and antiques range from a landscape by George Barratt to an Aubusson carpet.

Those intending to bid for the large selection of antiquarian maps of Ireland should note that Professor Patrick Duffy of NUI Maynooth will give a Gallery Talk at Sheppards today at 3pm.
