Businessman David Hall has begun High Court proceedings challenging government plans to pay out some €30 billion on promissory notes to the former Anglo Irish Bank.

Businessman David Hall has begun High Court proceedings challenging government plans to pay out some €30 billion on promissory notes to the former Anglo Irish Bank.

Hall said the notes were unlawful on various grounds, RTE reported.

Hall is a founder member of the New Beginnings group of business people and lawyers.
