Brittany Ferries' Pont-Aven feels as much like a cruise ship as a ferry.

Irish Ferries

**The routes:** Dublin to Holyhead; Rosslare to Pembroke and Roscoff

**The schedule:** the Jonathan Swift fast-ferry sails daily from Dublin to Holyhead at 08.45 and 14.30 (sailings take under two hours), with the conventional Ulysses also departing daily at 08.05 and 20.55 (three hours, 20 mins). From May to the end of September there are three weekly sailings from Rosslare to Roscoff (18 hours), and Irish Ferries also sails twice a day to Pembroke (four hours).
