Canadian businessman Reg Freake tried retirement in the spring of last year. He lasted six weeks.

Newfoundland-born Freake, who was raised in Toronto, retired last March from a senior executive role with Dell in Limerick. He and his wife, who is from Waterford, took a brief trip to Canada before returning to Ireland.
