Bush’s botched adventure set to destabilise Middle East

This Wednesday, President George W Bush will announce what has been called ‘a new initiative’ on Iraq. Apparently there will be some of the usual ‘locker-room encouragement’, probably some ‘Bush-speak’ about how they will not ‘cut and run’, but - more significantly - a commitment to send another 30,000 troops.
