Bureau to investigate Neary after shocking report

The National Bureau of Criminal Investigation is to launch a large-scale investigation into the actions of Michael Neary, the obstetrician who needlessly removed the wombs of more than 100 women.

The National Bureau of Criminal Investigation is to launch a large-scale investigation into the actions of Michael Neary, the obstetrician who needlessly removed the wombs of more than 100 women.

The investigation is being launched as the government considers the report of Judge Maureen Harding-Clarke into the Neary affair. Sources familiar with the report said its contents were shocking and gruesome.

The government will decide in the coming weeks whether to set up a redress board...
