Building magnate to upgrade €1.5m boat

Galway builder Eamon Conneely has put his €1.5 million racing boat, Patches, up for sale and is planning to replace it with a better model.

Galway builder Eamon Conneely has put his €1.5 million racing boat, Patches, up for sale and is planning to replace it with a better model.

Conneely bought the 50-foot high-specification Transpac 52, last year and has won a number of races, including the inaugural TP52 World Championship in Miami. He has decided to upgrade ahead of the 2007 season.
