The builders of a Dublin development which was damaged by the presence of pyrite in the foundations is seeking damages from the quarry operators which supplied the aggregate.
Noreside Construction, which is based in Kilkenny, is suing Irish Asphalt, which operates a quarry at Baylane, Dublin. In early 2003, Dublin City Council awarded Noreside a contract to build 52 houses and 31 senior citizen units at Griffith Avenue, Finglas.
