Job creation initiatives, curbs on politicians’ pay and pensions and the abolition of the €10 airport tax are likely to be in next week’s budget.

Several ministers wanted the measures included in last week’s four-year plan, but Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan insisted that They be retained as part of the budget instead.
