Four Irish tech entrepreneurs met over lunch to watch the Budget speech and talk about what it meant for the start-up set, writes Philip Connolly.

Between them, the four people sitting around the table with me represent some of the most promising technology entrepreneurs in Ireland. All of them have met government ministers and worked with state start-up supports to develop products with a global reach.

Yet all of them also display a healthy scepticism toward the governments role in developing Ireland's start-up culture and have experienced comparable tech ecosystems outside of Ireland.
