Cut to Back To School scheme

Thousands of college students will be €200 a year worse off after last week's budget tweaked the eligibility rules for the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Scheme.

The payment to parents who qualify is €100 for each child at primary level and €200 for second level students or third-level students, aged up to 22, provided they are in full-time education.
