The web-browser is now the number one way hackers distribute malware to unsuspecting users, out-pacing even more recognised risks such as email.

Web security experts say the amount of malware found online today is expanding rapidly, with enormous amounts of new threats identified each day.

“If you look at the latest Sophos Threat Report, our labs are seeing 95,000 pieces of new malware every day,” said Dermot Hayden, sales manager for Sophos Ireland.
