Browne gets discovery over alleged Daily Mail attacks

Amember of the Guinness family has been granted discovery against Associated Newspapers (Ireland) over an alleged "campaign" against him.

Garech Browne, 73, of Luggala, Co Wicklow, sought discovery of background docu-ments concerning three articles published in the Irish Mail on Sunday and the Irish Daily Mail in 2009. He also sought journalists' notes relating to charges against Randall McDonnell at Bray District Court.
