Two Dublin brothers whose companies have made millions of euro out of misleading premium-rate prize promotions have promised the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to stop running the schemes in Britain.

Iain and Gavin McConnon - who launched an online DVD rental service in Dublin last week - are directors of Promocom Ireland, which has its registered office at an apartment which belongs to Gavin on Clarion Quay in the IFSC in Dublin.
