Two of the largest broker organisations in the country are discussing a merger to form one company that will represent all insurance brokers.

Two of the largest broker organisations in the country are discussing a merger to form one company that will represent all insurance brokers.

The Professional Insurance Brokers Association (PIBA), which represents about 850 insurance brokers, and the Irish Brokers Association (IBA), which represents about 520 insurance brokers, are in merger talks. They are also discussing a link-up with the smaller Independent Mortgage Advisers’ Federation (IMAF), which represents about 80 mortgage brokers.
