Broader offerings

The entry of new broadband providers such as Smart Telecom and Imagine has heated up the Irish broadband market. Prices are being cut, but there are now faster systems and bigger downloading allowances available to customers in the home and business markets.

Smart brought out a broadband service in February offering download speeds of up to 2 megabytes per second (Mbps).
