British regulator tells Ryanair to cut Aer Lingus stake to 5%

UPDATE: Ryanair must cut its 29.8 per cent stake in Aer Lingus Group to no more than 5 per cent, British antitrust regulators said.

Britain's Competition Commission: "there is a tension between Ryanair’s position as a competitor and its position as Aer Lingus’s largest shareholder."

Ryanair Holdings must cut its 29.8 per cent stake in Aer Lingus Group to no more than 5 per cent, British antitrust regulators said.

Since the decision was announced earlier today, the share price of Aer Lingus has fallen 3.8 per cent. Ryanair's share price has also been volatile and was down 1.8 per cent a short time ago.
