The Sunday Business Post has learned that Manchester-based Espalier Private Equity made the bid four days before Bank of Scotland appointed Dublin accountant Pearse Farrell as receiver. It is understood that the bank is owned €2.5 million. Espalier, which is controlled by businessman Andrew Colin, has not had any response to its offer to date.
