Britain's Press Complaints Commission is to be closed down

following the phone-hacking scandal that has swept through the newspaper industry.

The organisation has confirmed that it will formally close with all staff to move to a transitional body until a new tougher system is set up in the wake of the Leveson inquiry, according to numerous British reports.
