British house prices hit record high

House prices across Britain rose to a record last month as easier access to credit drove first-time buyers back to the market, according to a report by researchers at Acadametrics.

Values increased 0.5 percent from August to an average of stg£235,534, the company said in its report in association with LSL Property Services.
