The meltdown in the value of British bank shares continued last week with the 24 per cent fall in the value of Bradford & Bingley (B&B) last Monday.

The meltdown in the value of British bank shares continued last week with the 24 per cent fall in the value of Bradford & Bingley (B&B) last Monday.

The shares fell after the bank announced a profit warning, a revised rights issue and an investment in the bank by the American fund, Texas Pacific Group.
