Bring life to a garden with white
A Mediterranean slant on that old favourite, the white garden, is one worth considering if you deyour gardening under grey Irish skies.
The idea is to have a white, grey, silver and green planting scheme, but to give it a backdrop of soft terracotta pink, or apricot walls.
Either colour will both enliven and warm up the prospect.
Vita Sackville-West was the woman who popularised the idea of the one-colour garden.
