Bridging a gap with job scheme

Through Worklink, HR professionals are volunteering to mentor jobseekers and assist employers in their local area, writes Gareth Naughton.

Avoluntary employment support network that connects HR professionals with jobseekers and employers is expanding into the regions.

Worklink, a not-for-profit organisation launched last year, aims to help alleviate Ireland's continued unemployment problem by making use of the experience of HR and business professionals to support employers running employment and work placement programmes.

Volunteers also provide professional mentoring and support directly to jobseekers through groups and organisations.
