B&Q Ireland goes into examinership, 4 stores may close

UPDATE: B&Q Ireland, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kingfisher, has confirmed that it is going into examinership and may have to close four of its nine stores.

B&Q Ireland, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kingfisher, has confirmed that it is going into examinership and that it may have to close as many as four of its nine stores.

The company has successfully filed a petition with the High Court in Dublin seeking the appointment of an examiner. The court has granted protection for the company and has appointed Declan McDonald of PricewaterhouseCoopers as interim examiner.
