Boxing body challenges €8.5m funding of GAA, FAI and IRFU

The president of the Irish Amateur Boxing Association (IABA) has questioned the continued funding of the GAA, the FAI and the IRFU by the Irish Sports Council (ISC).

The president of the Irish Amateur Boxing Association (IABA) has questioned the continued funding of the GAA, the FAI and the IRFU by the Irish Sports Council (ISC).

The council puts over €8.5 million annually into the three organisations.

Tommy Murphy said he had raised the issue with John Treacy, chief executive of the ISC.
