Bouncer awarded €30,500 for unfair dismissal

A bouncer at a Dublin nightclub has be en awarded €30,500 in compensation for being unfairly dismissed. But two other sacked bouncers from the same club failed in their applications to the Employment Appeals Tribunal.

A bouncer at a Dublin nightclub has be en awarded €30,500 in compensation for being unfairly dismissed. But two other sacked bouncers from the same club failed in their applications to the Employment Appeals Tribunal.

Christopher Caffrey of Sperrin Road, Drimnagh, Dublin, was sacked in June 2004 for allegedly being drunk while working a late shift at the Belgard in Clondalkin.
